President Bush has worked to modernize Medicare to offer seniors more choices, better benefits and the choice to stay with the current coverage they enjoy today.
More Choices - President Bush has worked tirelessly to ensure that seniors have more choices in health care.
Better Benefits - Under a modernized Medicare, seniors can sign up to receive a prescription drug card offering a $600 benefit and discounts on their prescription drug purchases.
The Choice to Stay with Current Coverage - Seniors can choose to stay in traditional Medicare and still get prescription drug coverage.

Social Security is sound for today’s seniors and for those nearing retirement, but it needs to be fixed for younger workers – our children and grandchildren. The Republican Party is committed to an agenda of strengthening retirement security for today’s seniors by increasing protection of pensions and investments, while working to keep Social Security solvent for future generations.
